What are DDA compliant door widths?

To ensure you comply with DDA regulations for minimum effective clearance widths according to Approved Document M - Volume 2 you need to meet the following requirements

Direction and width of Approach

Straight-on - ie. without a turn or oblique approach
800mm for New Buildings or 750mm for existing buildings

At right angles to an access route at least 1500mm wide
800mm for New Buildings or 750mm for existing buildings

At right angles to an access route at least 1200mm wide
825mm for New Buildings or 775mm for existing buildings

At External Doors to buildings used by the general public
1000mm for New Buildings or 775mm for existing buildings
